COMPANY OVERVIEW

FLINTpro has developed a dynamic software platform that empowers organizations to comprehend and efficiently manage greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions related to the Food, Agriculture, and Land Use sectors. The platform simplifies processing intricate large data sets, employs cutting-edge scientific and analytical models, and conducts advanced simulations. This allows customers to effectively communicate outcomes to policymakers, stakeholders, and scientific teams in visually engaging formats.

BACKGROUND

FLINTpro was founded and grew up as an Australian-based company. In May 2023, they secured a Series A round of funding earmarked for US expansion. In June 2023, FLINTpro appointed Tina Morris as its CEO. FLINTpro had a strong technical and scientific team, but in order to expand, they needed to build out their go-to-market (GTM) team in the US.

Through a mutual connection, Tina met Climate People’s Founder, Brendan Andersen, during Climate Week NYC 2023 and engaged us to lead the search for a VP of Business Development and Head of Product.

HIRING CHALLENGES

  • FLINTpro had no internal talent or HR function in the US with limited bandwidth to recruit on their own
  • FLINTpro was seeking strong mission alignment for all new employees
  • FLINTpro was ideally looking to hire leaders into the BD and Product functions with industry experience and knowledge of the market they are serving
  • Speed to hire was important; they had major milestones to hit and needed to fill the roles quickly but with the right talent
  • FLINTpro had limited name recognition in the U.S.

TIMELINE

  • Engagement began in late October 2023 on the VP of BD and Head of Product roles
  • Both roles were filled, and candidates started between mid-December 2023 and mid-January 2024
  • After the VP of BD was hired, Climate People filled the first role on the team, placing a Senior AE starting in April 2024
  • The average time to fill these roles was 8 weeks
  • We’re continuing to work alongside the FLINTpro team on more roles

78 candidates screened, 31 submitted, 26 interviewed
